I’ve been on this problem for months now. Not everyday but from time to time when I have time. Fixed the wires in the rubber as they were spliced from opening and closing. Changed microswitch for button on lid(VW badge) and changed latch for locking. Still says safe mode on prelatch and won’t open my boot lid. I’m getting voltage on all pins for latch but on pin4 only getting volta

Got to to do the exact same job on my Edition 30, be interested to see what you find rust wise and how you get on.
Like you I will use the bilt hamber rust remover, I'#039m going to bare metal my inner arches and any rusty areas of the boot floor and then paint with a 2K epoxy followed by raptor . You can get it nbsp all in cans now. That will be a better job than the factory

Posting this here in case anyone else comes across it in the future.
GTI, GTD and Jetta share the same front mount, standard golfs use a different one. To get the bumper to fit perfectly without cutting anything, you need the correct radiator mount. The same crush bumper fits both but you need the correct size X plate to be able to bolt it to the hood latch area.

Could be loads of different things, as you know, it needs to be scanned. Could be overboosting, underfuelling...anything I'm afraid.

Took car to a local guy Glenside motor company (15 mins away) to get the swirl flaps and stage 1 map done, did it via OBD with CMD Flash, didn'#039t need to remove the ECU to bench it which is a bonus. Before mapping he put the factory original file on the car, checked for any errors then mapped the car with the 3 swirl flap codes deleted and motor disconnected. I think he said he

Sachs used to be the old supplier for VW back in the mk5 era but now they are using Monroe. I have not had any experience with Sachs myself but I'#039ve recently fitted Monroe all around my old car. I'#039ve had KYB previously and the shocks might as have been welded stiff. If you want comfort, stay away from those. My other car on Bilstein b4 sport, Eibach pro-kit and 18"quot wheels was mo

Hi guys,
Bit of a weird one - without any prior warning or indication, the steering lock on my 2007 1.6 FSi on Saturday suddenly stopped working. I'#039d opened the car up in the morning (current UK heatwave) and when I went to lock her up in the PM I noticed I couldn'#039t turn the key - to the point I needed to get the electric windows to work. There was a little bit of key

Hey guys, set up my car to the garage today, because the car is vibrating from 50 mile an hour and up and also when I'#039m breaking at speed, They recommended i change the brake discs which are the same ones I'#039ve had for the last 7 years, But they also suggested that the clicking and creeking is coming from the steering column, I would like to know how much is it going to cost to fi

Hi everyone,
I'#039ve just had my LPFP replaced because and the new (aftermarket) one is significantly louder than the original. I can'#039t say I ever really heard it before but I now have a constant whine I can hear from inside the cabin at tick over.
It'#039s pretty annoying tbh but I can live with it as long it'#039s not actually faulty - and the garage say that it
